    Patch

Hey, 'Everything' (voidtools) latest stable is 1.4.1.1032. Known vulns (all fixed in current): - CVE-2020-24567: DLL hijack (old) - CVE-2023-27704: ReDoS - HTTP server: header injection/dir traversal (turn off if not using) - Recent service privs issue (fixed ~1.4.1.1030) Mimic ransomware etc. bundles its own copy to enum/encrypt fast - doesn't exploit your install. No net needed for core search/index (even network folders). Blocking internet kills update checks & any remote risk. Keep updated + portable if paranoid. Love it too.

    Post summary

The post highlights several CVEs that have been fixed in the latest release of Everything, advises disabling the HTTP server to avoid header injection/dir traversal, and stresses the importance of keeping the software updated.
