Default Langflow - auto_login mints you a SUPERUSER JWT. Then validate/code just exec()s your Python. CVE-2026-9198 = CVE-2026-9103 + CVE-2026-8481. IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0-1.10.0 when AUTO_LOGIN is on (default pre-1.5). Chain: unauth GET /api/v1/auto_login —> SUPERUSER bearer —> POST /api/v1/validate/code with def _v(a=exec(...)): pass —> RCE as the service user (often root). PoC: https://github.com/0xdak/cve-2026-9198_exploit Patch / kill LANGFLOW_AUTO_LOGIN. Don't run it as root. Who else is shipping "dev defaults" that mint admin tokens to the open internet? #Langflow #RCE #CVE #AppSec #InfoSec

⚡️ 0-Day Alert: IBM LangFlow OSS RCE LangFlow agent orchestration deployments have been under active exploitation since May. CVE-2025-34291: CORS misconfiguration + SameSite=None CVE-2026-33017*: Unauthenticated RCE via build_public_tmp's data parameter CVE-2026-55255: IDOR in /api/v1/responses: run any user's flow by ID CVE-2026-0770: Unauthenticated RCE via validate_code() / decorator abuse CVE-2026-9198: Unauthenticated RCE via auto_login + validate/code chain Bugs are not hard, likely spotted by generally available AI. Public exploit POCs exist. Majority takes input from an API endpoint variable and executes it directly on the OS. Attack pattern suggests that LangFlow has not seen basic security QA from the developer, and shouldn't be deployed in environments where arbitrary code execution poses a risk. * Attached: 33017 patch diff and code trace to exec()

    Post summary

The post announces 0‑day exploitation of multiple IBM LangFlow CVEs, confirms active attacks, provides PoC details, and mentions available patch fixes.

    Patch

Daniel's Daily Threat Intel & CVE Briefing — Fri 7 Aug 2026 Top of the stack: Today is CISA's federal remediation due date for the N-able N-central / Langflow / Tomcat KEV batch — and the N-central bug is the one that matters: CVE-2026-18577, an auth-bypass that is a bypass of the incomplete fix for CVE-2026-18556, is being exploited in the wild since Aug 1 to seize admin on RMM servers and pivot into managed endpoints. If you or clients run N-central, patch to 2026.3.1 Hotfix 1 (2026.3.1.7) and hunt for post-compromise activity before anything else today. 1. CISA KEV / actively exploited (lead) CVE-2026-18577 — N-able N-central, all versions ≤ 2026.3.1 (pre-Hotfix 1). Unauth auth-bypass → full admin. Exploited in the wild from Aug 1; added to KEV Aug 3. Post-exploit TTPs: abuse of the Take Control feature to reach managed endpoints + Cloudflare Tunnel for persistent backdoor. Fix: 2026.3.1.7. So what: RMM = one box to own the whole estate; treat any unpatched N-central as presumed-compromised. CVE-2026-18556 — N-able N-central auth-bypass (the incompletely-patched precursor to 18577), CVSS 8.2. KEV, federal due date today. CVE-2026-9198 — Langflow (open-source AI app-dev platform), CVSS 9.8, unauth code-injection → RCE. Fixed 1.10.1. Repeatedly weaponized in recent months; KEV, due today. So what: internet-exposed AI/LLM tooling is now a routine initial-access target. CVE-2026-34486 — Apache Tomcat, CVSS 7.5, EncryptInterceptor cluster-messaging bypass. Fixed 11.0.21 / 10.1.54 / 9.0.117. Tied to SNOWLIGHT malware campaign; KEV, due today. CVE-2026-63077 — JetBrains TeamCity deserialization flaw, added to KEV this week. Verify your CI/CD estate isn't exposing TeamCity to untrusted networks. 2. Edge / network gear CVE-2026-20316 — Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC) 7.0–7.7 / 10.0. Static credentials for a low-priv account → unauth remote access to sensitive data; actively exploited as a zero-day (disclosed Jul 30). Base CVSS only 5.3 but Cisco rates SIR High because it's chainable for privilege escalation. So what: not the headline score, but it's live and it's your firewall manager — patch and rotate. Fortinet/Ivanti criticals (FortiSandbox CVE-2026-25089 9.8; Ivanti Sentry CVE-2026-10520 10.0 / CVE-2026-10523 9.9) are from the June 10 cycle — no new exploitation reported in the last 24–48h; flagged only in case anything remains unpatched. 3. Microsoft / Windows / AD Quiet in the last 24h. No new in-the-wild Windows/AD/Exchange/Entra items surfaced. August Patch Tuesday lands Aug 11 — July's record 622-flaw cycle (2 zero-days under active attack) should already be deployed; if not, that's your gap. 4. Web / cloud / DevOps CVE-2026-66066 — Rails Active Storage (< 7.2.3.2, 8.0.x < 8.0.5.1, 8.1.x < 8.1.3.1; 6.x only if configured off-default). Critical; unauth arbitrary file read → potential RCE via libvips ("KindaRails2Shell", pivots on the app master key). Public PoC available (disclosed Aug 1). Mitigation: upgrade Rails/Active Storage, libvips ≥ 8.13, ruby-vips ≥ 2.2.1. CVE-2026-63030 + CVE-2026-60137 — WordPress core "wp2shell" chain (REST batch-route confusion + author__not_in SQLi). Unauth RCE on default installs 6.9.0–6.9.4 / 7.0.0–7.0.1. Public exploits on GitHub; watchTowr reports in-the-wild exploitation. Fixed 6.9.5 / 7.0.2 (forced auto-update pushed). Slightly older (Jul 18) but still actively exploited — worth a scan sweep. Watch / developing Oracle out-of-band Security Alert CVE-2026-35273 surfaced this week — details thin, worth confirming scope. Senserva notes ~30 KEV entries this month with 2 tied to ransomware campaigns (Microsoft/Fortinet/Cisco most-affected) — watch for ransomware operators folding the N-central and Langflow bugs into their access-broker playbooks. Sign-off: 7 items flagged actively exploited today (N-central ×2, Langflow, Tomcat, TeamCity, Cisco FMC, WordPress wp2shell); the single must-do is patching N-central before CISA's due date closes. Sources: CISA — Adds Three KEVs (Aug 4) CISA — Adds One KEV (Aug 3) The Hacker News — CISA flags Langflow, Tomcat, N-central Rapid7 — CVE-2026-18577 N-central exploited in the wild N-able — N-central Security Update (Aug 2) The Hacker News — Cisco FMC zero-day actively exploited BleepingComputer — Rails Active Storage RCE (CVE-2026-66066) BleepingComputer — WordPress wp2shell RCE public exploits SecurityWeek — Fortinet/Ivanti critical patches Senserva — CISA KEV additions this week One caveat worth noting for your own verification: NVD detail pages were unreachable during this run, so severities above are corroborated against vendor advisories, CISA, and reputable trackers rather than NVD directly — the Langflow 9.8 and Cisco 5.3 figures each have two independent sources, but confirm against NVD before citing formally.

    Post summary

The briefing warns of multiple actively exploited CVEs, provides detailed patch and mitigation guidance, and urges immediate application of vendor hotfixes to prevent compromise.

    Active Exploitation

CVE-2026-9198 Langflow just landed on CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list. CVSS 9.8. Actively exploited in the wild. Federal patch deadline is Aug 7. I pulled the PoCs that dropped in late July and traced the chain. It's ugly because it's short. Langflow is the visual drag-and-drop builder a ton of you use to wire up LLM/agent pipelines. This is a full remote code execution (RCE) bug sitting in that exact stack. Here's what I found when I dug in: Step 1: hit /api/v1/auto_login with no auth. It hands you a superuser token. No login. No password. It just gives it to you. Step 2: take that token, POST your code to /api/v1/validate. The endpoint runs it. That's the whole exploit. Unauthenticated attacker to code execution in two requests. Affects Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.0. Fixed in 1.10.1. The part that should scare you: this isn't a data leak. It's your box. Whatever runs Langflow is now theirs, plus every API key and DB credential that process can see. Think about where your Langflow instance actually lives. Say you run a shop support bot on it that processes refunds. Your OpenAI key is in that env. Your Stripe key is in that env. Your customer database is one network hop away. One /auto_login call and the attacker owns all three. FIX (do this today): BEFORE (dangerous): // Langflow 1.0.0 to 1.10.0 // /auto_login leaks a superuser token, /validate runs code running any version in this range = pre-owned AFTER (safe): // upgrade to 1.10.1 or later, then: - pin the version, don't float on latest by accident - put Langflow behind auth, never expose it straight to the internet - rotate every key that process could read (assume they're already gone) - check access logs for /api/v1/auto_login hits before you patched Building agents on a visual tool? Go check right now: is your Langflow box reachable from the open internet? When did you last actually look at what your builder tool exposes, versus what you assumed it exposed? #AISecurity #LLM #RCE

    Post summary

The post warns that CVE‑2026‑9198 is being actively exploited with a high‑severity RCE, supplies step‑by‑step PoC details, and urges immediate patching to version 1.10.1 along with mitigation measures.

Honeypot telemetry recorded attackers reaching vulnerable API endpoints within approximately 34 minutes of exposure. The primary exploitation path used `/api/v1/validate/code` to trigger command execution. Observed processes included `sh -c /tmp/abc&`, running as the `www-data` user, while payloads were downloaded with `wget` and created or moved using `gnucp`. Attackers assessed three hosts within 37 minutes before selecting one for deployment. Multiple payload types were observed. One intrusion installed a customized AdaptixC2 Gopher implant capable of remote command execution, file operations, process enumeration, and screen capture. Another deployed XMRig 6.22.2 for Monero mining, accompanied by a Python watchdog that restarted the miner every 10 seconds. The miner repeatedly ran as `www-data` and communicated with a mining pool. Its rig name incorporated an `lf9` prefix and the victim address, linking the activity to Langflow exploitation. A separate XMRig 6.26.0 loader supported Linux x86-64, ARM64, and FreeBSD amd64, used TLS, deleted its executable after launch, and lacked embedded wallet or pool configuration. The activity also included a Mirai-like botnet payload. Attackers tried x86, ARMv7, and MIPS variants before successfully deploying an i386 binary disguised as `/tmp/klogd`. The malware used HTTP and a custom command protocol, and demonstrated self-propagation behavior. Some attackers instead abused `auto_login` to obtain a `SUPERUSER` token and directly request `/api/v1/flows`, exposing credentials stored in flow-definition JSON without invoking `validate/code`. The report identifies both automated and targeted activity, including repeated fixed commands and rapid multi-host payload delivery. Affected organizations should upgrade to Langflow 1.10.1 or later, rebuild container images, disable auto-login, restrict access through authentication controls or VPN, and run the service with minimal privileges. Investigations should review logs for `auto_login` followed by `validate/code` or full-data flow requests, rotate exposed credentials, and inspect for suspicious child processes and deleted-but-still-running executables using process or kernel telemetry.

    Post summary

The report confirms CVE‑2026‑9198 is actively exploited in the wild, with multiple malicious payloads delivered via an exposed API endpoint, and provides concrete mitigation steps.
